Our diplomatic tactics have worked, and the biggest boy has successfully averted what would’ve been a fight.
But things start to get complicated, as arguments arise.
“He hit me first!”
“It’s my toy!”
As trivial as it seems, there might have been more than meets the eye to the conflict. There’s clearly more, and while a physical fight would be foolish- not doing anything might be even more foolish.
Considering the underlying conditions, it would be aggravating it to take the lead, and make for others.
Now, smaller classmates are beginning to talk, and the boy happens to overhear it.
“He seems way too happy with where he is..”
“Why’s he acting like our leader?”
“I don’t like it..”
Our leader is yet again, stuck between a rock and a hard place. Does he;
Confront them, shut it down, and stop it before it gets bigger, but be seen as tyrannical.
Pretend you didn’t hear/don’t care. The issue continues, but you are seen as kind and forgiving.
What do you do?
